Interest, reservations and confirmed work are different
By NUMARK.AI Editorial
A marketplace contains several states that can look similar on a screen but mean very different things. Interest tells the operator that someone may want to participate. A saved request records a proposed need. A reservation may record an opt-in. None should be confused with a fully activated real assignment.
Interest is information, not a promise
A worker account can describe skills, location and preferences without guaranteeing a shift. A client account can express future demand without committing the platform to staffing it. This distinction is especially important outside Michigan, where NUMARK.AI invites interest rather than claiming active local service.
Do not make personal plans that depend on an interest form producing immediate work. Employers should likewise avoid treating account creation as a replacement for an existing staffing arrangement. The information may support launch planning, but it is not an arrival confirmation.
Reservations still need gates
A proposed assignment requires lawful arrangements, task suitability, required qualification checks and operational readiness. NUMARK.AI’s connected job reservations do not bypass pending legal and provider approvals. Private document submissions and draft reviews do not automatically complete those steps.
Payment and travel controls are separate. Manual estimates are not charges, and choosing a payment entity is not secure tax verification. Client approval and prepayment must precede future dispatch, but real payments and dispatch are not currently available.
Look for explicit readiness
Before any future real assignment, both sides should understand the confirmed scope, time, site, compensation and contact process. A status should describe what actually happened, not imply that an unavailable integration has completed it.
Michigan is the initial launch market, starting with Detroit. The national direction remains broader, but readiness is determined locally and per request. The useful action today is accurate intake and planning, with honest expectations about what has not yet been activated.
Before your next step
- Read interest as an expression of possible participation.
- Treat reservations separately from legal and operational activation.
- Do not begin travel or assume payment from a saved record.
